Fisher Investments

Fisher Investments provides investment advisory services to individual and institutional investors. The firm was initially founded in 1979 by investment guru Ken Fisher as an institutional money manager. The Private Client Group was established in 1995 to serve individual investors and now serves over 25,000 clients.

Fisher Investments operates out of three main offices in Washington and California, with its headquarters atop Kings Mountain in Woodside, CA, overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Surrounding the headquarters are not the tall skyscrapers typically found in a downtown financial epicenter, but some of California’s tallest Redwood trees. The proximity to Silicon Valley has influenced the Fisher Investments business model – often likened to a technology firm versus a standard financial services firm – with innovation at the heart of its culture.

Fisher Investments is committed to educating the investing public. The firm has published a series of books in partnership with John Wiley & Sons, and also provides an online magazine, MarketMinder, with daily financial and economic news analysis. Some of this educational content can be accessed via popular social networking sites including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Flickr.

Founder and CEO Ken Fisher regularly appears in the financial media. He is currently the fourth longest running columnist for Forbes magazine where his Portfolio Strategy column has appeared for over 27 years. In addition, Ken has authored seven books on investing and wealth creation, including four that became New York Times best sellers.
